“It is He who created me and He will guide me It is He who gives me food and drink and heals me when I am sick. He will cause me to die and will bring me back to life.”

al-Qur’an, 26:78–81

In view of the public health situation resulting from the coronavirus COVID-19, Shahe Najaf will be suspending all programs at the Center effective from Saturday, March 14, 2020 until further notice.  We request all community members to follow the guidance of public health officials and take precautions to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being.  In addition to good health practices, Islam teaches us that good deeds and prayer are also essential to preserve our physical and spiritual wellness.

Shahe Najaf Virtual Programming

While programs are suspended, we will be conducting virtual programs for the benefit of the community.  Starting Friday, March 13, Maulana Sulayman Hassan will offer a brief live address at 9:00 PM every night to answer questions and provide religious guidance for the community.  You can access the live stream at the Shahe Najaf YouTube Channel and Facebook page and send us your questions.

Need Assistance or Volunteer

Let us also remember those members of our community who may have special needs during this difficult time.  Some community members, especially the elderly, may need volunteers to help ensure they have essential supplies, and others may face challenges in meeting their basic needs.  Please reach out to us if you need assistance or would like to volunteer or contribute.
